Zini is an artistic exploration of the mystical dimensions and unifying power of music, guided by Filip Holm, a multi-instrumentalist and composer, alongside a dynamic ensemble of talented musicians.
Since its beginnings in 2012, Zini's mission has been clear: blending Alternative Rock/Pop with instruments and influences spanning the globe. The result is a distinctive soundscape that's both ethereal and intimately personal.
Filip Holm has always been captivated by diverse cultures and their expressions. With a broad musical palette, he has devoted his life to studying philosophical and mystical traditions worldwide. Beyond his musical endeavors, Filip connects with millions through his "Let’s Talk Religion" YouTube channel, reaching curious minds globally and giving his music a widespread audience.
Zini is an extension of this - a collaborative project that delves into the depths of the soul, seeking to articulate the inexpressible through music, with lyrics navigating themes ranging from social issues to profound philosophy and mysticism.
Over the years, Zini has put out songs and albums with a wide variety of styles and moods. From Middle eastern-rock fusion on tracks like “Felahi”, to tracks inspired by traditional folk music like “Wahda” and “Finding”, or atmospheric and contemplative pop/rock-offerings like “The Floating Man” and “Isthmus”, as well as collaborating with some of the best musicians from Sweden all the way to Iran.
